Valerie, creator of second life
Based a stone's throw from Granville, in the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, Valérie Elloy is a self-taught creator who likes to use a material, an existing object to imagine a new life for them. Making something new out of something old, with a passion for aesthetics and ethics is his leitmotif.

Passionate about the 70s, the Happy Seventies, I spend a large part of my free time roaming garage sales and searching the internet for favorite items from this period full of lightness and carefreeness. Furniture, decoration, tableware, small household appliances, wallpaper... My interior has been transformed through my discoveries.
My dressing room being my second passion, I naturally linked the two. Uninhibited creativity, fluidity of materials, explosion of colors, patterns each more varied and psychedelic than the last…. The 70s are perhaps those which had the most lasting impact on fashion. Seventies codes regularly influence creators. A trend that has intensified in recent years with a wind of flower power blowing more and more strongly through ready-to-wear collections. But why buy copies, often produced in unethical conditions on the other side of the planet, when you can obtain authentic pieces steeped in history by digging around a little? Like my home decor, my wardrobe has also been completely transformed.
Vintage, fashion… remained a link to find to satisfy my latest passion: creation, in the same project.
Renovation of old furniture, painting, sewing… I have always loved making handmade objects.
It was when I discovered by chance the work of an Australian artist who created hats from bath towels that it clicked. This object could bring together my three passions. Using the diversity of a Vintage raw material to give free rein to my imagination and create a fashion accessory that is necessarily unique.
This is how the first Galurin was born.
